About me…
October 31, 2024The C that reduces overwhelm!
December 16, 2024This morning, I took part in a fascinating discussion about change and how we adapt to it. It sparked a moment of reflection for me.
For much of my life, I believed I wasn’t great at managing change—particularly when it was personal. But as I looked back, especially at my journey through motherhood, I realized something surprising: I adapt to change far better than I thought.
Motherhood has been a continuous lesson in adaptation. Whether it’s finding ways to balance family and work, or responding to the ever-changing needs of my children, I’ve learned and grown along the way—even when I wasn’t consciously aware of it.
It’s natural to resist change. Stepping into the unknown can be overwhelming, stressful and often stretches us out of our comfort zones. Yet, those uncomfortable moments are where growth and transformation happen.
What struck me most during the discussion was the realization of how often change happens without us even noticing. Sometimes, it’s not the big, dramatic events that shape us but the quiet, subtle shifts in mindset or daily habits that leave a lasting impact.
Another takeaway is that we hold the power to choose change. By shifting our focus—whether toward gratitude, personal growth or a fresh perspective—we can initiate meaningful transformations in our lives.
So, how do you approach change in your life? Do you embrace it or do you find yourself resisting it?
Let’s start a conversation. I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences!
